Glass 3 mL cartridges with an 11 mm stopper, made to fit the V2 pen. Each one is steam sterilized and sealed in its own pouch with a sterilization indicator.

Overview

The V2 is a reusable pen injector for standard 3 mL cartridges. Instead of a new pen for every cartridge, you swap the cartridge and keep the pen. The dial clicks once per unit, from 1 to 60, and the setting shows in a window on the barrel.

Instructions for use

These steps cover handling the pen. If your pharmacist or medical professional gave you different instructions, follow theirs.

Before you start

Work in a clean area and wash your hands thoroughly. Gather these supplies:

  • V2 pen
  • Empty sterile 3 mL cartridge (11 mm stopper)
  • 3–5 mL syringe for filling
  • Venting needle, or a 1 mL insulin syringe with the plunger removed
  • Alcohol swabs
  • New pen needle
  • Peptide vial and diluent
  • Sharps container

Part 1: Take the pen apart

  1. Remove the pen cap.
  2. Pull the two ends of the pen apart to separate the body from the cartridge holder. Don't unscrew first, because the holder stays with the cap.
  3. Unscrew the clear cartridge holder from the pen body.
  4. Gently push the black plunger fully back into the pen body.

Part 2: Fill the cartridge

  1. Open the sterile 3 mL cartridge and wipe the rubber top with an alcohol swab.
  2. Make a vent: take the plunger and caps off a 1 mL insulin syringe, then insert it into the cartridge top (the silver-ring end) so air can escape.
  3. If the peptide needs reconstituting, draw the amount of diluent your pharmacist or medical professional specified into a syringe, inject it into the vial, and mix gently until clear.
  4. Draw the solution into the 3–5 mL syringe and remove any air bubbles.
  5. With the vent in place, insert the filling syringe into the cartridge top next to it. Inject slowly while air escapes through the vent. Rushing can build up pressure. Fill to 3 mL at most.
  6. Remove both syringes and cap them. Wipe the cartridge top, check for bubbles, and set the cartridge aside.

Part 3: Install and prime

  1. Insert the filled cartridge into the clear holder, glass end first.
  2. Screw the holder securely onto the pen body. The V2 threads may need firm pressure.
  3. Screw on a new pen needle and remove the outer and inner caps.
  4. Prime the pen: hold it needle-up, tap to raise any bubbles, dial 2–5 units, and press the plunger until a drop appears. Repeat until no air is left.
  5. If you're storing the pen, unscrew the needle, put it in a sharps container, and recap the pen.

This pen is a delivery tool. It contains no medication, and we make no claims about anything used with it.

  • Not a replacement for prescribed devices. If a doctor, pharmacist or other provider gave you a specific pen or device, keep using it as directed. Do not switch to this pen unless they tell you to.

  • One person, one pen. Never share a pen, cartridge or needle with anyone, even after changing the needle.
  • New needle every time. Attach a new sterile pen needle for each use, and put used needles in a sharps container.
  • Watch for reactions. If you notice pain, redness, swelling or any other reaction, stop and contact your medical professional. In an emergency, call 911.
  • Keep away from children. Store the pen, cartridges and needles out of reach of children and pets. For adults 18 and over.

No. Keep using the device you were prescribed, exactly as directed. Only your medical professional can tell you whether a different device is right for you.

No. We can't give dosing or medical advice. Your medical professional decides what you use and how much.

Which cartridges and needles fit?

3 mL cartridges with an 11 mm stopper, and universal pen needle tips. One cartridge comes with the pen, and we sell steam-sterilized cartridges in packs of 20, 50 and 100. Needles are not included. If you're unsure about a specific product, ask your pharmacist.

The plunger won't extend. Is the pen broken?

Probably not. The plunger only extends when a cartridge is installed.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the outside with an alcohol pad. Don't soak the pen or hold it under running water.
